The School of Play · Last updated July 2026. Your family's money life is private, and MoneyPlay is built that way. This policy explains what we do and don't do with your information.
Your data stays on your device. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't build advertising profiles. Any AI features run on-device, so nothing about your family's money is sent to a server.
Your family details, jars, progress, notes and reflections are stored locally on your device (and in your own private iCloud backup if you have that switched on). The couple’s Exchange data, the most sensitive part, is kept in a separate on-device store that is excluded from backups.
Where your device supports Apple Intelligence, features like Penny's chat, the Translator, and generated puzzles run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device model. Your prompts and family data are not sent to us or to any third party for these features. You can switch smart features off any time in Settings.
If you choose to unlock the grown-up areas with Face ID or Touch ID, that check is handled by Apple on your device. We never see or store your biometric data, only whether the check succeeded.
If you allow notifications, we use them only for the gentle reminders you set up (like the Daily Spark). You can turn them off any time in Settings.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your subscription status to unlock features, but not your payment details.
MoneyPlay is a family app used under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what a parent enters to set up the family, and that information stays on the device.
You can delete the app at any time to remove its data from your device. You control notifications, smart features, and Calm Mode in Settings.
