Week Nine builds teamwork, creativity, physical activity, and gratitude through a playful mix of exploration, imagination, and reflection. Students begin the week with Treasure Hunt, a collaborative adventure that encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and curiosity as they follow clues to discover hidden treasures. They then move into imaginative reflection with If I Could Fly, drawing themselves soaring through the sky and sharing the places they would visit, helping children express dreams, preferences, and creativity in a joyful, supportive environment.
The week continues with movement and storytelling in Nursery Rhyme Mash-Up, where classic rhymes are brought to life through fun fitness challenges that boost coordination, imagination, and active engagement. The week concludes with I Am Thankful For..., a simple yet powerful gratitude circle that helps students express appreciation, build empathy, and connect with their peers through shared positives. Together, these activities weave problem-solving, creativity, fitness, and gratitude into a rich, engaging learning experience, strengthening teamwork, emotional awareness, and joyful self-expression.

Weekly Lessons
Treasure Hunt
Treasure Hunt is an exciting, adventure-filled activity that encourages students to think critically, explore their surroundings, and work as a team. Using clues to guide them from one hidden treasure to the next, students practise problem-solving skills while actively searching the environment. Each clue invites them to observe carefully, interpret information, and make thoughtful decisions about where to look next. The thrill of discovery keeps students engaged, curious, and eager to uncover the next surprise.
Along the way, students strengthen their teamwork and communication skills by sharing ideas, collaborating on clues, and supporting one another during the hunt. Whether working in pairs or small groups, the shared goal of finding the treasures fosters cooperation and collective excitement. Treasure Hunt is an immersive, high-energy activity that blends exploration, critical thinking, and social connection, creating a fun and memorable experience for all.
If I Could Fly
If I Could Fly invites students into a world of pure imagination, encouraging them to dream big and explore the endless possibilities of where their wings could take them. By drawing themselves soaring through the sky, like a bird, a superhero, or something entirely their own creation, students tap into their creativity while expressing their personal dreams and interests. As they imagine the places they’d visit, from magical lands to favourite holiday spots to places they’ve always wanted to explore, the activity fosters curiosity, wonder, and joyful self-expression.
Once their drawings come to life, students share the stories behind their flying adventures, explaining where they would go and why those places matter to them. This builds confidence, storytelling skills, and a deeper understanding of one another’s dreams. If I Could Fly is a beautifully simple activity that blends creativity, imagination, and reflection, helping students dream freely, express themselves boldly, and enjoy the magic of possibility.

Nursery Rhyme Mash-Up
Nursery Rhyme Mash-Up is a lively, imagination-fuelled movement adventure where students step inside a world of classic nursery rhymes and bring them to life through physical activity. As they run from Goldilocks’ bears, jump like Jack Be Nimble, crawl up the water spout, or row gently down the stream, students stay fully engaged in a story that blends creativity with fitness. Each scene invites them to become a character in the rhyme, using their imagination to act, move, and respond as the story unfolds.
The activity encourages students to improve coordination, balance, and strength while staying active and having fun. By following along with the narrative and completing each movement challenge, students practise listening skills, build physical confidence, and immerse themselves in a playful, story-driven workout. Nursery Rhyme Mash-Up turns familiar tales into an energetic adventure, sparking joy, imagination, and movement in every step of the journey.
I Am Thankful For...
I Am Thankful For... is a simple yet powerful gratitude circle that encourages students to pause, reflect, and share the things that bring positivity into their lives. By taking turns expressing what they are thankful for, whether it's family, pets, friends, nature, or special moments, students learn to recognise and appreciate the good around them. The shared list becomes a collective celebration of gratitude, helping students understand that thankfulness can come from both big and small things.
This activity strengthens communication, listening, and social connection as students reflect on their own gratitude while also honouring the thoughts shared by others. By building a supportive circle where everyone’s voice is valued, I Am Thankful For... creates a warm, positive classroom atmosphere. It helps students develop empathy, fosters a sense of belonging, and reinforces the ongoing practice of noticing and appreciating the good in their lives.
